Research

AAHP FDIU research addresses current and critical needs for animal agriculture in Washington and the Pacific Northwest. We engage with producers and veterinarians across intensive and extensive production systems to describe and evaluate approaches to optimize animal wellbeing and health. Our research focuses on prevention as well as interventions to support overall population level health and includes studies of gene expression, point of care diagnostics, processes used by on-farm personnel, effective use of record systems, and tools for precision agriculture.
